Admissions

Special Program for Chinese Students only

Can I apply for admission even if my undergraduate major is different?

Yes, you can. PSPS welcomes students from a wide range of undergraduate backgrounds. Our curriculum is designed to be adaptable to various academic experiences. While enrolled, you will need to take 4-5 specific core courses relevant to your chosen major, but your undergraduate major does not restrict your eligibility for admission.

What are the graduation requirements for the PSPS Master's Program?

To graduate from the PSPS Master's Program, students must:

  • Fulfill coursework requirements with one of the following options:
    • Option 1: Complete 27 credit hours of coursework, 3 research credit hours, and submit a master’s thesis.
    • Option 2: Complete 30 credit hours of coursework, 3 research credit hours, and submit a research report.
    • Option 3: Complete 33 credit hours of coursework and 3 research credit hours
  • This includes 3 semesters of required Korean language credit classes (6 credits in total)

What is the PSPS grading system?

The PSPS Master's degree program employs a 4.5 grading scale. The academic performance is represented by the following letter grades and their respective point values:

A+: 4.5    A: 4.0

B+: 3.5    B: 3.0

C+: 2.5    C: 2.0

F: 0.0

If a student misses more than one-fourth (1/4) of the official class sessions in a semester, they will not receive a final course grade for that class, which is equivalent to a FAIL or 'F'.
